How did you get into programming?

I started programming in high school for Olympiad in Informatics.

Which IDE do you use and why?

Eclipse. Realtime grammar check is very sweet, avoiding an additional pass of fixing grammar errors. Also different fonts for different domains help to pick the correct variable when programming.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you within the Topcoder community?

Filling this form at 3am 9/23.

If you could go head to head with another algorithm or marathon competitor, who would you want to compete against and why?

Lijie Chen(WJMZBMR). Best teammate. He quitted contests to concentrate on research now.

Tell us about an achievement that you are most proud of.

To be a student of Tsinghua and Princeton.

Best music album to code to?

I usually don't listen to music when coding, which I think to be distracting. I recommend Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18 when you feel hopeless about bugs.

What books do you recommend?

算法艺术与信息学竞赛(The Art of Algorithms and Programming Contests) by Rujia Liu
