How did you get into programming?

Started with VB when I was little. Seemed fun and I could program games.

Which IDE do you use and why?

Sublime3 for C++ because it's quick and easy to use.

PyCharm / WebStorm for general programming since these editors have a lot of features.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you within the Topcoder community?

Hm, nothing I can recall 🙂

If you could go head to head with another algorithm or marathon competitor, who would you want to compete against and why?

Probably ACRush, since he seems to have retired after his 2015 Marathon Final win. I will meet most of the other competitors in the final this year 🙂

Tell us about an achievement that you are most proud of.

In the context of Topcoder, winning both Machine Learning and Fun Marathon challenges and qualifying for my 3rd consecutive Marathon final.

Best music album to code to?

Classical music for doing 'peaceful' coding.

Rock music for when the pace is intense (during the TCO final).

What books do you recommend?

I like books that have a behavioral psychology component since they are applicable in day-to-day life.

Tabs or spaces?

Irrelevant 😛
