How did you get into programming?

My father is a software engineer. So I have always been close to computers and programming.

Which IDE do you use and why?

Visual Studio. I started with VS 6.0 and it was very easy to start. It is the only IDE where debugging is not painful. And after all I work at Microsoft now.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you within the Topcoder community?

I once made a single full submission during the whole marathon match (TCO 2016 round 2). It was made 15 mins before the end. And due to long queue it had only been tested in a couple of hours later. So I got my first points for the problem in a couple of hours after match had finished.

If you could go head to head with another algorithm or marathon competitor, who would you want to compete against and why?

vitar and bayleef. They are my former ACM teammates. It is all about having a good time with friends. We have previously had a rule that the one of us with the greatest TC rating is playing a role of captain in our ACM team.

Tell us about an achievement that you are most proud of.

Winning the SRM div-1, considering that 7 targets (including tourist) were participating in it.

Best music album to code to?

I prefer Beetles. But I don't listen to music that much, and never during coding.

What books do you recommend?

Tabs or spaces?
