About the TCO17 India Event

The TCO17 India Regional Event will take place on Sunday, August 20, 2017. The event will be hosted at the Cowrks, RMZ Ecoworld- Bangalore.

Event Details

The event will include a Single Round Match (SRM) style Algorithm Competition that could lead you to the TCO17 Finals in USA!

Top 10 from the competition will get exclusive entry in Wildcard Round which can give you a chance to qualify for TCO17 Finals.

The event will also include some fun competitions and learning opportunities for designers and developers. Also Design admin [adroc] will be in town to meet members in person!

The event will also allow you to mingle with other Topcoder members in your area, meet some cool sponsors, and earn you the all important Topcoder t-shirt and a chance to win topcoder goodies, by participating in onsite challenges and fun events. See the entire schedule below.

This event is open to all Topcoder members but you must be registered to attend.

We are giving away 2 trips to the TCO17 India Regional Event! You need to follow the following steps before July 31, 2017 and on August 1, 2017 we will select two winners to win a trip to the TCO17 India Regional Event!

Here is what you need to do:

  1. If you haven’t already, go to and click the Join the Topcoder Cognitive Community Button. Fill out the registration form and confirm your email address.
  2. Signup for a IBM Bluemix Account
  3. Fork this Bluemix Starter Pack to your own Repo:
  4. Follow the deployment instructions to deploy to your own Bluemix Account with the url format: tc-<yourhandle>
  5. If deployed correctly, this url: https://tc-<yourhandle>

Final Submission Guidelines

Submit your Topcoder Handle/Username, Bluemix ID and the link to us (https://tc-<yourhandle> to us in the following Google Form

Make sure you do all of the above before August 5th and on August 6th we will select the winners. We will select two winners to win a trip to the TCO17 India Regional Event!

This will include a maximum of 10000 INR Travel Reimbursement. It can include your travel, one night hotel, and ground transportation to the event. Plus you’ll have a guaranteed ticket to the event!

Contest is open to residents of India and those who meet the eligibility criteria of the TCO Rules and Topcoder terms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bangalore is well-connected by a network of buses from cities like Goa, Mumbai, Pune, Coimbatore and Mangalore. The options range from regular buses to air-conditioned, Volvo and sleeper coaches. While some of the buses are run by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, there are also a number of private bus operators who run inter-city buses to and from Bangalore.

Bangalore has two important railway stations – Bengaluru City Railway Station and Yeswantpur Junction. Both railway stations have regular trains running from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and other major cities. For travelling within Bangalore, there is Namma Metro (with limited connectivity), which is an intra-city rail network set up by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation.

You can reach Bangalore via air at Bangalore International Airport which is located at a distance of 40 km from the city. From here you can take prepaid taxi services and bus services to reach the city. Many national and international flights lands on this airport making approachability of the city easy.

Bring your laptop and a photocopy of a government authorised ID to the event. (Driving License / PAN Card / Aadhar Card etc)
