I was a derivatives trader for 6 years, after which a career in software development seemed non-sensical. I was on the verge of going back to being a trader when I found Topcoder. Although the success initially was low but i took some heart in it and carried on. My learning curve has been quite slow I feel and I am hoping to make satisfactory progress this year. Maybe attending TCO will give me that push forward.
All projects that i have worked on have helped me improve my skills as a developer. I can't pick one favorite amongst them. I just hope Topcoder continues to attract great customers and plenty of them.
I was quite sure about qualifying for TCO in the UI prototype category at the end of stage 3 but then I received an email from Jessie, the subject of the email being "TCO17 finals" and my excitement knew no bounds. One of the finalists in stage 1 couldn't make it and I was next in the list.
I was really proud when I won my first challenge.
I can't do both simultaneously.
lunarkid, callmekattotie and systic. They are prompt in their responses in the forums and give to the point and unambiguous answers which I really appreciate.
birdofpreyru has been quite an inspiration. The progress he has made in a short time is commendable.
